  • In which visa centre I can submit my visa application?

    If you are Russian citizen you may apply in any Finland Visa Application Centre in Russia. There are 23 of them: in Moscow, Kazan, Rostov-on-Don, Nizhniy Novgorod, Yekaterinburg, Vladivostok, Novosibirsk, Krasnodar, Omsk, Perm, Krasnoyarsk, Samara, Ufa, Irkutsk, Kaliningrad, St Petersburg, Vyborg, Velikiy Novgorod, Vologda, Pskov, Petrozavodsk, Murmansk and Arkhangelsk. All other country citizens must apply in area they are registered. The third country applicants can apply for Finland visa in Petrozavodsk if they are registered in Republic of Karelia.

  • Does each family member have to come and apply for a visa personally at the Visa Centre?

    All applicants wishing to apply for a visa should come for submission personally as they will be required to provide their biometric data as per the VIS rules.

    The biometric data is valid for the period of 59 months, during which applications can be submitted by one of the adult family members (family bonds have to be confirmed by corresponding documentation): spouse, parents, grandparents, adult children or grandchildren.

    Note: The exception is children under 12; Biometric data collection is not required.

  • Is it necessary to provide an internal passport in addition to the set of required documents?

    Yes, you have to provide your internal passport, which is required to identify the applicant’s consular district as well as to pay fees.

  • Can applicants have their photo taken or get an insurance policy at the Visa Centre?

    There is an automatic photo booth in the Visa Centre. Service fee is 4,5 EURO. You can purchase Insurance Policy of well-known insurance companies at the Visa Centre.

    The insurance fee for the policy is calculated on the basis of the official fees set by the insurance company of your choice.

    According to the Russian law, each policy is accompanied by the Terms and Conditions and Receipt.

    Please note that Medical Insurance is a mandatory document. We request that you purchase insurance from the Visa Application Center or from an authorized agency. We are unable to guarantee the authenticity of policy purchased from any other sources.

  • Can I fill in "Consent to the processing of personal data" in advance?

    According to Federal law of Russian Federation "About personal data" it is necessary for every applicant to sign a document "An agreement of processing personal data" since 05/2011. Please note that all applicants who submit documents through an authorized representative are also obliged to prepare this document in advance or to sign a power of attorney on a representative.

    Power attorney can be notarized or handwritten. For minor children (under 18), this document must be signed by the legal representatives (parents, guardians, etc.).

  • Where and when can Service and Visa fees be paid?

    Service and Visa Fees are paid right after submitting the documents at the Visa Centre. Visa fee for Russian citizens is 35 euros, Service fee is 26,75 euros.   • After getting married I have changed my last name in my internal passport, but not in my ordinary passport. Can I apply for a visa?

    According to Russian legislation an internal passport needs to be changed within one month. If you have already changed your name in the internal passport you have to change the ordinary passport too in the same name before submitting a visa application.

  • How can I track the status of my application?

    Applicants can track the status of their applications by reaching the call-center of the Visa Centre, number +7 8142 59 98 01 and +7 8142 33 08 30 or follow the link Track Your Application, section "track your visa application online". Applicants need to enter the identification number (PTAC-number) to use the tracking service.We recommend checking the status of your visa application in advance since the date of receiving your passport is approximate and you are not guaranteed to receive the passport within the time specified.

    Please note that the information on the passport collection is given in the passback note attached to your agency agreement. The passback note contains QR code, which can be used to track the status of your application.

  • What documents are to be provided for passport collection?

    The required documents for passport collection are the agency agreement and the internal passport.
