HOW TO APPLY

Step 1 :

Prepare your application and supporting documents:
Go to ‘About Schengen Visas’ link on this website and find out details related to the visa category you want to apply for – here, you can find information on the applicable fee, documents required, Visa application form and more. You can complete visa application form online – it will save your time during visit to the Visa Centre.

Step 2 :

Book an appointment to visit Visa Application Center:
To visit Visa Application Center we recommend you to Schedule Appointment. You can book an appointment online or by calling the Call Center. Details provided on this website will help you to schedule an appointment. You can also visit the VAC without an appointment.
To book an appointment for submitting visa or residence permit application to the Embassy of Finland, Kyiv, please contact our call Center at (+38) 044 5941269 from 08:30-15:30 hrs from Monday to Friday. You can also sent requests to the following e-mail address: finlandvisaukraine@vfshelpline.com

Please be informed, that the applicants who schedule an appointment for shot stay visa to the Embassy of Finland need to come to the Visa Centre of Finland (Kyiv, Sportyvna square 1A, Shopping Mall “Gulliver” 8th floor) for submission of their visa applications and for biometric data collection. For Groups: If you have more than 10 applications to apply, please write us to beforehand on finlandvisaukraine@vfshelpline.com.

Children under 12 years: Children under 12 years need not to be present at Visa centre personally as they are exempted from the Biometrics. A passport size photo would be required for the child and for further details, pls use refer to our ‘Photo Specification’ section under different Visa category.

Step 3 :

Submit your application:
Visit Visa Application Center and submit your completed Visa Application Forms along with required supporting documents. Please see the Contact Us to find the center

Step 4 :

Pay applicable Fee:
Submission Officer will advise you to pay Visa Fees and guide you to the bank cashier where you need to pay in local currency (Hryvnia) by cash or by using Debit/ Credit Cards. Receipt will be provided for all payments made at the Center.

Step 5 :

Proceed for the Biometrics

Proceed to the Biometrics booth for giving in your digital photograph and fingerprints, except exemptions. Ukrainian citizens and other nationals legally residing in Ukraine, all applicants would need to appear in person in order to provide biometric data(fingerprints and digital photography), which is a simple and discreet procedure. This concerns the applications for the short-term Schengen visas (max. 90 days in 180 days).Children under 12 years need not to be present at Visa centre personally as they are exempted from the Biometrics. Step 6 :

Collect your processed envelope ::
Track the progress of your application as per the tentative schedule advised to you at the time of application submission, and accordingly come to pick your passport. If you have opted for courier service, receive your passport at the comfort of your chosen address.

Please note

Visa Application Center offers SMS service to applicants, whereby on return of your passport from the Embassy of Finland in Kyiv a SMS will be sent to your mobile phone informing you about it. In addition to this SMS, there will be an email sent as well. To avail this service, applicants should provide with a Mobile contact and an email address at the time of submission of application at the Visa Application Center.

At the time of submission at the Visa Application Centre applicants have the choice to subscribe for Courier Service for return of passport. Please ask more information when submitting your documents at the Application Center.
