This site provides information on procedures applicable to prospective applicants residing in Russia on the territory served by the Embassy of Finland in Moscow who wish to apply for a short stay Schengen visa for a trip to Finland. Short stay Schengen visa gives a right to spend in Schengen area at most 90 days in any 180 days period.

Visa Application Process - How to submit the visa application at the Visa Centre of Finland
Step 1 : Prepare your application and supporting documents:
Go to "All About Schengen Visas" link on this website to understand details of various visas – here, you can find information on the photo specifications, documents required, processing times and more.
Step 2 : Book an appointment to visit Visa Application Center:
To visit Visa Application Center we recommend you to schedule appointment. You can book an appointment online or by calling the Call Center. You can also visit the VAC without an appointment.
Please ensure you read the security regulation notice before visiting the center.
Step 3 : Submit your application: Visit Visa Application Center and submit your completed Visa Application Forms along with required supporting documents. Please see the Contacts Us page to find the center. You may request for courier return of passport to avoid a second trip to the Visa Centre for collection of processed application.
Step 4 : Pay application fee: After submission you will be advised of Visa Fees, and guided to the cashier where you need to pay in Rubles or credit/debit cards. Receipt will be provided for all payments made at the Center.
Step 5 : Collect your processed envelope:
Track the progress of your application as per the tentative schedule advised to you at the time of application submission, and accordingly come to pick up your passport. If you have opted for courier service, receive your passport at the comfort of your chosen address.

*Acceptance of any application as urgent is solely at the discretion of the Embassy of Finland in Moscow. If you have a reason to believe that your application should be processed urgently, please bring it to the notice of the Visa Center specialist.
