Please note that processing of your visa application will only begin after the printed and undersigned application with all supporting documents has been submitted to the visa centre of Finland in Moscow and the visa fee has been paid. Applications that are sent only in electronic form cannot be processed. It is not possible to submit an application by mail or by fax.

Please note that you can retrieve your completed visa application with your registered email id and password within 14 days from the date of filling of your visa application form. After completing your visa application form kindly print and submit your application to the Visa Centre of Finland or to the Embassy of Finland within 14 days.

You are required to print your Visa Application form and a barcode sheet which will be generated upon filling the visa form as part of this process. You are required to submit the visa application form and barcode sheet along with the supporting documents to the visa centre of Finland in Moscow.

FAQ Visa Application

Q.1 Do I have to use an Application form filled via internet or can I fill a paper application form as before?
Ans You can use a paper application form also, but we recommend using an Application Form filled via Internet whenever possible. This will facilitate and speed up application handling process in the visa department.
 
 
Q.2 If I fill in the visa application form today, when will the visa be ready?
Ans Application processing time starts on the day, when printed and signed application with supplementary documents is submitted to the visa centre , and the visa fee has been paid, but not on the day of filling the application. Schedule of estimated processing terms can be found on the website of the Embassy and visa centre.
 
 
Q.3 If I fill in the application form today, when I can submit it? Do I have to submit it on the same day or I can come later?
Ans It’s not necessary to submit the application on the same day. You can either make an appointment on this website to submit the application or come and submit the application during 14 days without an appointment.
 
 
Q.4 Afterwards I noticed that I put the wrong data into the application. Can I correct mistakes with a pen or should I correct it via Internet?
Ans Corrections should be done through the visa application system. You can return to the system using your personal username. Remember to print out a new and corrected application with a bar code sheet. Don’t forget to sign the final application. Signature must be placed to both question 37 and to the end of the last page.
 
 
Q.5 Can I make changes into the application form I filled via Internet afterwards? Do I have to print a new application and a bar code sheet?
Ans You can make changes into the application before you have submitted it for processing in the visa department. You are able to return to the visa application system using your personal username; in the end a new application form with a bar code sheet must be printed. . Don’t forget to sign the final application. Signature must be placed to both question 37 and to the end of the last page.
