Information for the Libyan visa applicants

At the moment Finland does not have visa representation in Libya. Embassy of Finland in Tunis can receive only individual cases.

Libyan citizens who have an official invitation from the Finnish government or from another Finnish authority for an official trip to Finland can lodge the visa application at the Embassy of Finland.

Visa is meant for a short-term visit of maximum of 90 days in the Schengen area with return condition.

If necessary, the applicants are asked to give a written clarification by email about the former Schengen-visa history and about the matters supporting the fact that the applicant will return to Libya, and this before travelling to Tunisia in order to avoid unnecessary travel expenses.

Finland does not represent other member states in visa-matters of Libyan citizens.
